FAQ: Make a Survey
We are primarily interested in surveys that align with our mission—to improve programs that should be actively improved to better support the communities they are designed to serve. We want to help government agencies and local non-profits improve their programs with trustworthy results and actionable data.
Our professional survey analysts will help you to frame effective questions, and target the correct audience and demographics.
The cost of using BeHeardPhillyâ„ vary based on your needs for survey design and analysis, as well as the length of your survey (how many questions you want to ask) and how long you want people to be able to respond.
BeHeardPhilly℠ can be used to survey Philadelphians across the city on any number of topics or issues. In addition, since each member of BeHeardPhilly℠ has shared his/her home zip code, age, gender, race and highest level of education we can easily target your survey to particular demographics groups – such as women, or people who live in one area of the City.
BeHeardPhilly℠ sends out surveys to our large database of active members. Participants are reached through their preferred contact mode. Everyone has the choice to receive surveys via email/web, phone or SMS text message.
BeHeardPhilly℠ includes Philadelphians 18 years or older, from every zip code in the city, and of all genders, races, ethnicities and educational backgrounds.
The Temple University Institute for Survey Research (ISR) owns, manages and operates BeHeardPhilly℠. ISR is one of the oldest and most prestigious academic survey research centers in the U.S.
BeHeardPhilly℠ is a survey platform that allows Philadelphia organizations and agencies to better understand public opinion and perspectives in the City. For Philadelphia residents, BeHeardPhilly℠ is a chance to share their opinions by participating in surveys and weighing in on important social issues.
Surveys are conducted anonymously. We protect the identity of our survey respondents in order to collect honest input.
So far, many of the departments in the City of Philadelphia, including Streets, Water, Public Health, and the Mayor's Office of Performance Management have used BeHeardPhilly℠, as have several other non-profit organizations, such as The Philadelphia Citizen, the Committee of Seventy, and the Clef Club.
The results of your survey will be available within a few weeks of the survey ending, although comprehensive reports maytake longer. The amount of time that your survey is open (howlong you allow people to respond) is up to you. This mayrange from a few days to several weeks.
